Upgrade for your LML's CP4

Hey guys Ash here from DPP.

With the release of the LML Duramax in 2011, GM made the switch from the reputable CP3 injection pump to the lower output CP4 pump. We've seen numerous failures of the CP4 on stock trucks, let alone even slightly modified trucks that chew them up and spit them out. Now the down fall is it typically relates to a massive parts/labor bill. They tend to contaminate the entire fuel system when they spit the beans. Meaning replacing pump, fuel lines, rails, injectors, etc.

Now I'm sure most of you boys have seen many manufactures jumping into CP3 Conversions. As we do sell them from Fleece Performance, H&S Motorsports, ETC.

However whats new is the Industrial Injection kit. This is a unique kit because it does allow you to install this kit into a bone stock 11-15 Duramax without any issues or other parts requirements. This is complete conversion kit that delivers everything you need to swap out your failure prone CP4 to a dependable CP3, including the CP3!

Industrial Injection's CP3 Conversion Kit is a drop-in replacement for the factory CP4 and will not cause check engine lights. No need to spend extra money on custom tuning or programmers, this kit works with the factory tuning.

Unlike other company's CP3 conversion kits, Industrial's CP3 Conversion Kit has no start-ability issues. With this kit there is no need to prime the injectors before starting the truck after installation of injectors.

This CP3 Conversion Kit has been designed to be used with all of the factory emissions equipment. There is no need to remove or "delete" any of the EGR, or DPF systems. Your truck will run as if it was from the factory.

Check this kit out found here for $1600:

Hey Scott, Just got off the line with Industrial. They have yet to release the compatibility for the 2016 Model. They are planning on doing a install soon and we should have a definitive answer. I'll keep you in the loop!

For the deleted trucks, any advantage of using your kit instead of the rest two?

The stock CP4 is only capable of supporting up to ~500rwhp. A stock CP3 is capable of supporting 600+ rwhp.

These are going to add in a stock OEM BOSCH CP3. These will typically support that 600Hp range before we start to see rail pressures drop. So for your average guy with deletes, this would be a excellent kit!

Now if you you plan on exceeding those power numbers, I would suggest a larger CP3 such as the Fleece Powerflo 750 Injection pump kits from fleece. The reliable and proven 750 is capable of supporting nearly 850+ rwhp.

I thought there was a substantial pressure difference between CP3 and CP4. How can you not need to alter the tuning because of this?

DPF/SCR technology summarized in three words: It doesn't work.

The CP3 is a three valve pump, with larger pistons, made to push more volume. The cp4 is a two valve pump, made to push less volume, but more pressures. Due to this, the ECM does not care what is going on. It just wants to know what the rail pressure is. Not Volume. It then tells the FCA ( Fuel Control Actuator ) on the pump, to increase or decrease pressure.

Keep in mind the diesel fuel today has very little lubricant left because of the greenies.. This is what scars up the pistons in the pumps. The CP4 is having to work harder to keep up with the volume requested. More work + less lubricant = Injection pump boom

I just saw this today and I am very interested to try it out on my lml. But then again this is a non stop game, I will still upgrade my tunning to a cp3.
This should be just a R&R kit no mods needed ?
