Coaling Roll

A Sierra Club article to stoke the fires:

BTW, as a card-carrying member with 7 grandkids whos future I am borrowing, I agree with the Sierra Club position.

I think my stand on late model emissions systems has been clear on this forum, but when the phrase "on purpose" appears along with the black clouds, I'd have to agree as well.

DPF/SCR technology summarized in three words: It doesn't work.

Rolling coal is stupid, these trucks can be tuned to increase power without the coal experience. The current DEF system is also not the answer, systems that are prone to failures while requiring corrosive and toxic fluids to maintain them, which also increase plastic wastes is ludicrous.

As with most things in life I believe the 95 / 5 rule is in play. 95% of us try to do the right thing and modify as clean as possible without ruining our trucks. The 5% will ruin it for all of us. Its only downhill from here folks.
