Drag strip regs on exhaust

Hey, going to do my first drag strip run at pacific raceways in Washington October 13 with my LB7. I have an over axle dump exhaust and was wondering if that’s “legal” or if I need to have it point out to the side? All the videos I’ve watched have trucks with their exhausts never pointing to the ground. Thanks.

You will be fine with axle dump exhaust. Mine is and have made several hundred passes without an issue.

So, go get 'em tiger!!!

Local track here gives us a hard time with turn down exhaust. The exhaust smoke aiming at the ground can interfere with sensors for the racetrack. That's why a lot of competition trucks have the exhaust aiming up in the air.

Never knew that, thanks for the education. Certainly makes sense.
