First time Drag Racing my truck

I took my truck to our local track last Thursday for test and tune night. It ended up doing even better than I thought it would. First pass I left with right around 15 psi boost and ran a 1.88 60' and a 13.80 at 97 mph.

After it cooled off a little bit, I figured the truck would pick up some more, but ran a little bit slower. I think I launched around 8-10 psi boost this time because I only ran a 1.95 60' and 13.97 at 96.77 MPH.

Also, I have an in-cab video of the second pass.

Overall, I was very pleased with my times... Especially being a crew cab long bed with absolutely no weight reduction besides pulling my trailer hitch out! I would really like to get built trans tunes and turn it up some more.... but spending money on a trans is not in the cards right now.

Gotta love my Trans Safe ATP tunes!

You are running basically the same set up as me. As long as you aren't afraid to launch it hard you should be right around where I was. It was about 78 degrees out and humid when I ran mine. I think my methanol injection helped keep it cooler... but yours should be around high 13's id say.

Old thread i know but did you turn your bars down when launching? I have to launch at like 1700 for it not to hop all over the place. Im going to the track for my first time on the 14th and thinking ill just turn the bars down there. Were running pretty similar setups and just curious to know what times i'll be running.
