I'm looking to put the OEM cab lights on my 3500 15.5 Dmax, would like to use the 2014 style lights because of the round mounting holes as opposed the the square holes used for my year to make installation easier. The lights are easy enough to find but there 50 different wiring harnesses available. How do I determine which one to use. GM told me I have to reference another vehicle of my same yr and trim and then a 2014 as well. Anyone have an experience with this?
There’s a couple really good write ups floating around on here how to do the install. As far as wiring I’ve been kicking the cab light idea around myself and I think instead of all the apparent guesswork of finding the correct needle in the proverbial haystack I’ll just wire mine to the parking lights. Pull power from one of the 12v accessory spots in the door fuse box and have a relay on that triggered by the parking lights power feed :thumb.
That might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen...Cab lights with a remote hahaha! But hey, probably the safest option!
