07 Tahoe motor mount

My wife’s 07 Tahoe has a broken motor mount and I need to change it out. Anybody know how hard this kinda job is? What all does this entail or should I getta shop to do it? I know I can do this myself unless it calls for pullin the motor or somethin. Any help is appreciated.

So my uncle has a 07 Denali and he says it eats motor mounts. He just gets them from the autoparts store but he replaces every few years. I know from doing my trucks, the diff in the way is the worst part. Will have to unbolt from engine and rock the engine up to get it in and out. Then I think 3 bolts holding to frame. It wasn't a huge pain just kinda got to play around with it.

Dang that stinks for him. This is a 2wd Tahoe btw. So u think I will b able to replace it by loosening the other mounts and wiggling the old out and new in? Thanks for the quick reply.

2wd easy. either jack or lift the motor up some after you unbolt it. in and out in an hour or so unless its on passenger side then its a lil tricky. but still doable.

You will have to lift the engine because that is sitting in the mount. The bolts are red locktighted to hell, so a propane torch will help release that so they will turn easier. I broke 1 bolt off before I figured that out.

So I would lossen up both nuts that attach the mount to the motor. I then would put a floor Jack with a board or something under the oil pan and put slight pressure on the motor. Then pull one side all the way out and lift the motor up off the mount probably 1in. Unbolt the motor mount frame side and slide it out. Then repeat for other side.
