Anyone redo wiring on truck for trailer?

In a nutshell I have an 08 northern truck that's seen salt. I like to simplify my rig, is there any way to completely redo wiring for trailer? I have a prodigy 2 controller. in the back there are so many extra plugs, wires, etc. which I will clean up. I think the prodigy goes off inertia so do i need all factory relays etc? I only need one 7 way which i have inside the box for pulling my 5er. I may give E-trailer a call done things with them before very knowledgeable. Thanks in advance for any help.

2008 3500 DRW, EFI with Rob's tunes, PPE downpipe and Flopro 5in strait pipe, HSP Y bridge/egr delete, HSP hot side I/C pipe, PVC rerouted, Fass 165, CTS 2, Trans go jr, Airaid intake.
