Turn Signal Help

Need some help with this one... I installed some tow mirrors (heated, power, turn signal)tested and worked fine. Got back in to test again and nothing. The weird part it's just the right signal. Left works fine, when I hit the hazard, its just the left. When I hit the signal to turn right, I don't even get the blinker noise. When I hit the brakes, it DOES work. I went back in the door panel and reconnected everything but the same result. Door lock DOES work on that same side
checked the IGN E fuse and it's ok, and also replaced the relay

anything else I can try??

are all of the right hand turn signals out, or just the one on the mirror? my guess would be that you blew the right side fuse. the left and right are on different fuses if i remember right.

thanks man, I found out the fuse in the dash is the one that was blown. I bought another one and put it in. As soon as I put hte hazards on, I heard it pop, and it went out again. So I still have the old mirror, I'm gonna replaced the fuse again and see if the old mirror trips it. If not, then theres something funky with the new one

yea turn signals should really not be popping a fuse of that size unless theres a short.

ok well I'm sending one of them back. I put in a new fuse, ad put the old light on, hit the hazards and no pop (even though the turn signal didn't work). I chalked that up to being the wrong side mirror. Anyway, I put the new one back on, hit the hazards and POP.

since the left mirror works, pretty safe to say they are the correct mirrors for the truck, i agree, probably an internal short in the mirror, or it was misswired during assembly. Could even be something as simple as a couple wires pinched together by the plastic case, best bet though is to make it the manufactures problem as you have done.

just if anyone was wondering, I sent the old mirror back and got a new one. Worked great.. I know things happen when you add a human element to it, but its just my luck lol. Either way, its working now, now just gotta figure out this oil leak (I think its a slip yoke leaking)
