ECM and Wiring Harness recommendation

I’m looking at transplanting an Duramax into a car. I know the ecm and wiring harness depends on the engine year (e.i. LLY, lbz, and etc). I’m wondering if there’s an good place to purchase an ecm and ecm wireharness? Would a dealer be the best place?

ive seen a few places on line that sell turn key conversions for the duramax engines, come with the relays, fuse box and wire harness all setup for your engine. craftsman ship looked good from the pictures shown.

heres one of the places ive looked at (though ive never bought anything from them). There harnesses appear to be well made though. The tape used on the harness appears to be TESA exterior tape, which is quality stuff, but im not sure if that is or is not what it actually is.

Thank you. That does help narrow my search down. Let me know if anyone has experience with either company. Thanks

your doing the camaro swap right? i skimmed your WTB thread. There was a fairly lengthy thread on here about a chevelle duramax swap, there might be some useful info in there for you. I didnt read too much of it, wasnt really applicable to me i just drooled over the pictures, but there was quite a lot of discussion there and id imagine it would be quite similar. If nothing else it might have the names of some forum members to hit up for questions.

Yes you are correct. The car just left to the metal fabricator on Sunday. It's been a while since I looked at that thread. I will re-read it and see if I can pick up any additional pointers.

Thanks,
Joshua
