Anyone have a Truck Vault or other aftermarket bed storage system?

Thinking about installing a TruckVault in my 2018 2500.

https://truckvault.com

Not sure if there are other better options, and looking for feedback from folks who are using them. I am also considering a cab level topper but not sure.

Thanks!

ive seen them mentioned before but ive never seen one installed. I looked on there site and priced our out just to see what it would be for my truck with all the default options and it was over 4 grand, and thats before shipping. While they look nice and all, i feel like if you owned a cheap table saw and some basic hand tools you could build this in a weekend for 200-500 bucks depending on how fancy you wanted to get with it. It seems like its marked up steeply for what it is. That said, my major source of income for quite a few years was aftermarket vehicle installation including custom fabrication so while i feel like i could bang that out in a weekend and have a nice looking tool storage unit, that may not be an option for everyone.

Sorry for the slow response. Good input, and thank you. But I’m not skilled with woodworking where the storage system I’d build would be a “finished product”.

I agree, cost of the “Vault” is pretty high with this company. I did find another company...Decked. Since I am not looking for extreme security (will not have guns or high value items stored constantly), this seems like a reasonable product, especially considering it will probably be under a bed topper.
