2020 1 tons on the Ike Gauntlet

What do you all think about this TFLTruck video. I have a question about the downhill. Does GM HDs not have a auto mode for the engine brake. I just think the test was too one sided.

I don’t know about a auto mode but they still had to turn it on and they didn’t mention turning on the break on the duramax

Not sure what was so one sided about it. They pulled the same load up and down the same stretch of road.

I was just shaking my head. A fuel mileage goal of 4.0mpg and actual 2.4mpg. Just 3 words - Buy a Kenworth. You could buy a very good used big truck cheaper that would handle the load better, get better mileage and last longer.

We'll probably be grossing 80k with pickup trucks one of these days!

Even if they screwed up the brake, it got beat by a good margin on the uphill. Seems odd how the 2500 beat the Dodge with the 1000 lb-ft option motor, then the Ford beats the GM soundly.
