Preference?? LMM front end or LML front end??

Just curious to see the responses on this. The reason I ask... i just collected all parts needed to swap the LML front end on my truck (hood, grill shell, bumper complete, all brackets and trim, etc).

Upon taking a closer look at everything, I'm not so sure I prefer the LML hood over my LMM hood. I like the flatter more squared front vs the slanted and more rounded front of the lml. The grill shells don't appear to be too different. I do prefer the 1 piece LML bumper though over the LMM with the end caps.

Just curious to see if anyone feels the same way. I know it's a popular swap but I'm a little hesitant now on getting it all installed.

If i do go ahead with the install, it will all be paint matched as everything I have for the swap are paintable pieces. The LML front end in chrome just looks way too big and bulky. The paint seems to make it fit the truck a little nicer. Personal opinion I guess but does anyone else prefer the LMM front for the hood shape over the LML? Or is it just me?? Lol

I've been looking for a stock LML bumper (with fog light) to do this swap. I definitely prefer the newer bumper!! However, from what I've read, you can keep the LMM hood for this swap. All ya need is the grill and bumper... Someone chime in if I'm wrong but I am pretty sure!

You can keep the LMM hood but the trim on the front won't line up perfect with the LML grill shell as it's a little thicker. Doubt anyone would even notice unless they were looking for it but that might not be a bad option. I bought the hood because I'm picky and wanted it 100% right but the LMM hood looks a little more sharp and aggressive to me.

Lol! That's exactly why I wanted to do the swap to begin with. Wanted the new truck look without the emissions crap.

Anyone who has done the swap without changing the hood... Please post pics. I'd like to see how close it is to lining up if i just change the grill shell and bumper only.

I'm pretty sure you can just replace the trim on the hood, you don't need to replace the whole hood. So everything will still line up and match correctly

The hood trim will not interchange. The contour of the hood is different so they don't fit the same. I didn't realize how different the hood were until I had them side by side. The Vents up on the back of the hood are noticeably larger as well.
