Best Battery for my truck?

So I'm pretty sure both the Interstate batteries in my LLY have taken a dump. Thank goodness for having a company truck to drive and I didn't get stranded somewhere in mine. Anyway, I guess I need to go battery shopping, and just curious what everyone likes as far as batteries, and what's the best out there that wont break the bank.

The interstates that are in it now are 800CCA and 1000CA. Is that good cranking amps for a battery in a diesel? I've never had to buy batteries for one before as this is my first one, and want something that's going to be good!

Thanks,

Kyle

Interstate batteries are claimed to be one of the best. How old where your batteries? I always buy my batteries by CCA's, price, and warranty.

Well, I bought the truck in April of 2011 from a dealer and they were in it then. I also noticed earlier when I was getting the info off the batteries that both of them appear to be wet/damp on top of them. Almost like they could be leaking or something.

optima use to be great, when made in America. I had batteries that lasted over 10 years in cars that weren't frequently used. Now there manufacturing plant has moved to reduce costs.

I personally run the AGM batteries that Batteries Plus carries. pricey but great CCA and 5 year 100% warranty.

Costco. Good batteries, good price, great warranty.

My AC Delcos are now 7 years old, no problems.

^^^^ Same here...even better than Interstate. I understand Interstate isn't quite the battery that it used to be. I really wanted to like them too.
