Fixed two problems with my Aux tank. It is a recycled aluminum tank from a boat. I noticed the cap (OMC type fuel cap) was rusted inside....NOT GOOD! I also noticed that fuel was sloshing out around the cap. Yep, the Diesel did not play well with the rubber seal either.

Time for a new cap. I got a 3" locking cap designed for "Diesel Only" and neck from Boyd's Welding in Ocalla FL and had it welded into the tank. Voila, no more problems.

Unfortunately, the only ones to make it thru the heat and come back strong, are the Porter Heirlooms. Excellent sweetness, VERY productive, good for hand snacking, salads or sauces (similar to a Roma).

Not really suitable for fried green.

A fully ripe tomato, straight off the vine, smelling, feeling and tasting like a tomato is hard to beat! *S*

Suppose to get up to 46 here today, and down to 28 tonight.

I carried my youngest out early this morning to see our first frost of fall. All the roofs look like Christmas!

About to start using white Power service in the truck again.

Batteries are about 5 year old. We'll see if they make it through this winter. Already had a couple mornings she seemed to turn over just a little slower. Maybe I'll test them. Maybe not hah

As mentioned in another active thread, waiting can end up with glow plug failure from low amperage delivery.

It's all over the show here, but I reckon summer will be a scorcher this year. It's sunscreen weather already
