Replaced the steering box (leaking sector shaft seal), fan belt (about to roll 400k miles) and the 2 parking / turn signal bulbs up front. One was burned out and both no longer had any amber coating left - they were both factory bulbs - 17 years old!

2002 Chevy 2500HD Crew - Original owner - 410,000 miles so far. All stock with the exception of a lift pump.

Believe me I wanted to but the current one on the trailer is welded to the tongue so it's a lot easier just to swap balls. OR, I can pony up a few hundred bucks and buy a nice, newer drop down adjustable hitch with the 2 different size balls already installed, but why spend that kinda money when I already have a drop hitch.... That's my thought process anyway

Yesterday, with the help of a buddy, we got the freshly built transmission in the truck. Today i got the crossmember back in and bolted up, Merchant transmission mount in, t-case in, driveshafts in. Still a few odds and ends to finish up yet but making good progress!

Started my truck today and it died about 5 seconds later.........

Must have ran out of fuel? I knew the new fuel pump seemed to be a little off with the gauge but i guess I finally found out how much.

Put 5 gallons in it and it ran like normal.

Looks like I'll be tearing back into it one of these days.

Was worried it was something much worse, got down to 20 last night which is a first for the truck, not sure how my coolant is doing.

Cribbing is coming along nicely, so happy with the way the handles turned out.

How was the steering box swap? Mine drips sometimes and I was thinking about going ahead and replacing, did you go oem or aftermarket?

Went overboard on the dolly, but Jack stands are ready! Should last me quite a few years.
