Midlife Crises moment Hoo-Rah

It only took me 12 years to come to the conclusion that you really don’t need a grid heater in Phx.
As restrictive as the stock cold side intake was, this ended up being a good mod.
Stock before

DHD cold side high-flow intake pipe, after

I did this a while back and it made a big difference. I had to do it with a 2 piece set up so I can put the stock intake bridge back on to smog it. It is the only change I have to make each year.

I washed mine today too. Some guys like the two bucket method, some use foam cannons, some spend hours washing and pampering their trucks. looks like Harnold used the windshield squeegee at the gas pump..... I used the driving home from Lowe’s in a thunderstorm method,

Ya, I was just poking fun of someone who makes a big effort to clean something that no one will ever get to appreciate. I clean my engine too.

What I hate is when a car lot cleans up the top of an engine and then sprays it with some kind of lacquer. It makes it look great for a short while until the lacquer starts to crack and peal off. Then the new owners bring it to me to check it over (post purchase, hardly ever before) and I lift it up to see that the whole underside is a ball of grease and oil leaks.

Not that I think that the underside of MotoDrew's truck is like that. I just wanted to have a little fun at his expense.
