Nah I had to man handle it down the ramps on top of plywood..

That dolly I made years ago was worth the ten minutes to build

I mean itís even using the casters that came with my US General branded harbor freight toolbox!

It sits in the rain and hasnít even been defeated by the weight of a Cummins.

So I'm DD'n my wifes old 2009 Corolla these days since we bought her a 16 Acadia Denali last year, and the Duramax has been parked (sad, but cost effective). We are getting ready to head on a camping trip with our 5er next week, so I pulled the Dmax into the garage to check fluids, and address a couple things before the trip.

-All fluids looked good, except for whatever reason (I have an 8 week baby at home and am sleep deprived) I went to check the oil level while running, but cold and nothing showed on the dipstick. I freaked out, and eventually google searched "how to check Duramax oil level" even though I work on cars, am familiar with the procedure etc, but am completely brain dead these days due to having a new baby, 2.5yr old and working full time...anyways I digress. Upon folllowing procedure, oil level was right in the middle as it should be. Still feel like an idiot.

-Fixed rear right door window actuator. Went to roll down windows, and could hear a "click" when I tried to roll down RR one from driver seat, but nothing happened. Also wouldn't work from the door itself. Finally took apart door panel, unplugged connector, inspected, plugged it back in, and boom everything worked again. Felt like I was at work (I work in IT).... "did you try turning it off and back on again?" LOL

-Changed fuel filter as I was at 14% and figured with pulling about 800 miles round trip would be a good idea.

-Checked air filter

-Greased front end zercs. Noticed that when Les Schwab did it last, they broke one of my zercs off, so that one didn't get greased. Need to get that fixed.

-Documented all this in my manual, to find I've only driven the Dmax 6,000 miles since last year this time...

Switched to T6 full synthetic last year, might not even get my full 10k miles on it before the full year is up and I need to change the fluid again haha. Can't wait to put the truck to work next week!!!

I've done less than 6000 miles in 2 years time... I'm due for my bi-yearly oil change.

This, or he floored it in drive and the truck was so quick off the line, the cab just flew off the back of the trailer. Now that would be cool.

Had a slow leak from the schrader valve on the low side of the A/C. As long as I left the cap on, it seemed to be ok, but Iím kinda anal and couldnít just leave it...

Pulled the schrader valve out and replaced it. $4 for the kit, $10 for two cans of R134a. The AC manifold gauges and vacuum pump I bought last year have sure come in handy.

Held vacuum so I did something right.

Figured I might as well pull the high side port and replace the seal as well since I have a bunch from the car project last year.
