2012 Silverado Duramax:
Oh man, I remember why people pay
- finally got the gear box out
- broke a puller
- bought a puller
- bought the 1-13/16 socket needed
- went by a friends to use his impact
- ended up cutting the pitman arm (pie shape)
- used a carbide burr and skimmed until it slid off
- installed the new pitman arm
- installed the gearbox
- fought and fought and fought the pressure line
- gave up, will finish tomorrow

The rest will be a breeze

My workbench looks like a bomb went off SMH

Unfortunately cutting the Pitman Arm off is a common occurrence.

Oh, and put a 4 in 1 grill together that my parents got me for Christmas. Felt like I needed to get an engineering degree to figure it out

The first time I did this five years ago it was so much easier and came off without issues, of course I paid someone to install the new one (didnít have as many tools back then as I do now)

Yes sir! Used a small propane torch to heat it a little without cooking any seals, but I was at my wits end so I had to end up cutting it
