Throttle issue 04 lb7

I have a 2004 lb7 with 257k miles. I just purchased it a few months ago and just got done putting this 257k mile motor in it. When I am driving or just raise the rpms and let off, the rpms tend to drop down below the normal amount and then it revs back up a little higher than normal. Then it returns to normal idle. I did notice the fuel lines look smushed but I was told that's normal on these trucks. I plan to replace that before I put license on the truck and get it on the road. Don't want to starve her of fuel. Any clue what my rpm issue might be?

I don't have anything to check the pressure, unless theres a redneck way to do it.

Anyone you know have a scantool or edge cts you could use or borrow? Does it have a slight lope at idle? When was the fuel filter changed last?

My brother has a bosch scan tool. I'm not sure it can test rail pressure. I'll check it out.
