Super tune

I was wondering if the people out there can tell me if there's anything wrong with using a super tune performance chip. Pulling a trailer from time to time and looking for a couple more mpg. Is there a drawback or problem using the product ?
Thanks

there is simply no way that device can possibly work, it states that it works on trucks from 01 to 18 and adds 50 HP by plugging it into the OBD2 port, yea, thats total BS. Theres been what, 6 different engine variants in that time? one of which is barely tuneable at this point. I think you would be better off burning the money than buying that.

Copied directly from that ebay listing....

i think that first sentence is key here.

i gotta say though, that ebay listing was worth a read, theres a couple good chuckles in there.

IF that thing did what it says, for the price charged. EVERYONE would have one.

The fact that Nobody here does should be all the answer you need.

Exactly! An edge, bully dog, or efi will be way better then someone selling something off eBay, if it was that easy I’m sure we’d all be on eBay all day long looking for tunes

I think part of all this comes down to common sense. Products & advertisements like that are waving all sorts of red flags. If something that cheap was worth even half a crap, wouldn’t you think that it would be covered a gazillion times over on truck forums, etc? Also; think about it...those eBay ads are all written in ‘Chinglish.’ If people fall into the traps set by products like these, they deserve to get taken.
