First Diesel.. 07 Duramax Dually

Hello,
My name is Kyle, I live in Colorado with my wife and baby. We are planning on trying RV living next year so we needed to get a bigger truck (My other truck is a Colorado).

I did a lot of research before buying and it sounded like the LBZ was the most refined and avoided the problematic emissions parts of the newer ones (and the price).

I finally found a 07 9 hours away in Oklahoma that had lived its life in the south. It has no body rust, and just a little frame rust.

It has been good for these first few months! I had to replace the intermediate shaft and bearing as soon as I got it. It was also loosing its prime so I installed a Airdog II 4G and found the leak real quick. I ended up just removing the factory fuel filter housing.

I also replaced the factory radio with a 10 inch android radio screen. I installed front and rear cameras and soon am going to get side cameras.

I just got new headlights for Christmas, and thought they came out good. The old ones were clouded and full of water.

I thought about that, and I did keep the housing in case I ever wanted to install it again. I figured 95% of prime leaks come from that housing, so even if the AD went out it probably wouldn't lose its prime. I may fix it eventually and put in back on though. Thanks for the recommendation!
