I have tried to figure out the surge tank caps. no way to open the bottom unless you want to drain the tank. Look at the washer tank-- should have had a neck that turned up just a bit-- makes a mess if you get carried away filling it.

2 caps on brake res. is for each circuit. By the way, the hydroboost has an electric motor on the bottom to provide pressure if you lose the P.S. pump or engine. It will come on if you put your foot on pedal without engine running.

white canister is the P.S. res. Also, look at the pic of the cooling stack-- see the black tube in the front-- thats the P.S. fluid cooler

Thanks for the insights and photos.

I can understand why they stayed with the 3500 size cab. Still seems like a waste though to make it narrow like that vs what they could have done.

In the rear seat, does it feel like an adult can really lean back and nap on a drive or is it more or less you are forced to sit upright?

Thanks

Harry

(WAS) Thinking and learning about the duramax engine and upcoming silverado 4500 truck. Now I am thinking about a Kodiak or Topkick.

Back seat is identical to 3500 so it doesn't recline. If the front seats are forward some I can ride comfortable enough for awhile and I am 6'3" and 240#.
