Called the local GMC dealer today, went through 4 recordings and 2 girls to reach service advisor whom proceeded to harass me about not having VIN handy. I assured idiot it was on recall, had letter and my GM app says so......ok its a standoff, no VIN, no info on service appt so we try something simple....Is the part in stock? Can't tell you that without VIN. ( She was reading a script designed to seek out where I bought truck )

Call Chevy house...1 girl and straight to advisor, Will you work on my GMC ? YES! Do you have part for recall? No, GM is covering cold states first, you will get letter when available locally....cool! Plenty of quality info , friendly guy, willing to help , no VIN required.
