Hey Sir, do you know if the LMM Hydro boost is a direct bolt on for my LB7. If not i refuse to modify something like that if it doesnt. If is is a direct fit. Do you suggest it?

    I appreciate your input.

Ok, good to know. I wanted to replace anything i was going to have to remove with new parts. So i just want to make sure i am doing the right thing. I am going to rethink such a big project and just do the brakes for now and then next winter do the rearend and axles.
    Thanks for the help

I think I am misinformed, I thought when replacing the parking brakes you need to pull the axles anyhow correct? So my question is do I need the axle seals because they are not, or you dont see them in that kit...

I just dont want to tear it all apart and not have everything i need. Now looking back its a little more complicated not know all of the seals needed and what seals are in the kit. Sorry to bother you about it. Its just a little confusing to me about what seals to replace when i have the parking brakes off and if they come in that kit.

Ok, these are the things i had no idea to look for and if i did i still wouldnt know. hahaha. Dont the axles have to come out when i tear the rear end a part therefore they (axle seals)should be in there. I just thought (I know thats my problem i think too much) when the diff was pulled apart.

Ok So I want to rebuild the rear end, it is leaking. While i am back there the rear brakes are needing replacing and since i am there i might as well do the parking brakes. What would be your advice is there a place i can call and they know the seals i need for R&R the entire rear brake assy. So Pads/shoes seals and i am doing the rear diff all at the same time.

I have a friend that is helping me by the way. He is a heavy line Mechanic. He just isnt Chevy specific. Im not a complete idiot, it just sounds that way. I have never taken something a part i couldnt get back together correctly with a little research.

Yo! Hey Bud, I have a question i really dont want to start a thread. I know that you know these trucks and trust your judgment. I am going to start to rebuild my entire rearend. I am going to pull the gears out the pinion yoke off etc.... In doing this i want to do the rear brakes complete. I think they go hand in hand with the seals.
My question is. If i buy the RRYK11.5 rebuild kit from XDP. Do you know if rebuilding the entire rearend with a kit that is for the entire rear end, do i need more seals to do the rear brakes....would you think that the rearend rebuild kit comes with all of the seals to R&R the rear brakes meaning parking brakes and all? A lot of questions and content i know. If i need to break it down let me know i tend to ramble....

In this thread you posted about a white set of GM door handles. Post #14

Do you know if gm still offers these? i am in need of finding a set and was about to order the black one because i cant find this set available. This is what i want since my truck is summit white and has 3 broken handles!

    Thanks

Yeah, there is a gap, but it's not really in a place where you'll see it, being on top. Plus, with all the weight of the mirror being further out like it is, it doesn't bounce around even with the gap there

i just leveled my tow mirrors today. i just used one washer because i didnt want to trim any plastic yet. i did try two washers, but it leaves a pretty good gap on the post where mirror pivots. did yours do this

Well bud, most of the time, I just run up to the firehouse, only about 3 blocks away. If I do run POV to the scene, I just take it easy til she's good and warm. I probably run a little harder than I should sometimes, but it hasn't caused any problems yet. How big of an area does the department you're joining cover?
