I have herd some things about the 4wd switch (electronic push button) if you have that Ive read that you can't put the transfer case in 4-lo with the electronic push button. Something about he tcm has to send a single of data to something to let the transfer case know its ok to go into 4-lo. If tht is true would I have to install a Manual t-case or what read is untrue. I don't know. If you have any insight on this it old be very appreciated. And if you have any insight on the swap as a whole that would be nice also. If you have any pics of he swap/finished product you could send them to me to take a gander at.

    Thank you,
    Dwayne

I found out from the dealer here in morehead,ky (Larry Fannin Chevrolet) that it would cost for parts around 500.00 not including flywheel, throughout bearing, clutch, and trans. They priced a trans to me for $3,000+ I thought that I might find one cheaper and I did at Midwest trans they want $1,850 + core charge and I'm not send my alli in as a core. I know I will need some lines/hoses, fittings, fluid, ect... But I have got the jist of the parts needed.

What can I expect? Is there anything that I need to know before I dive into this?

Hey mani was reading that post on here about swapping your alli out for a zf6. I'm going to do this in the near future and I was wondering if you might help me? Any insight on the whole process would be great. I have a built alli right now but it is slipping. So what I'm going to do is get all the parts and pieces I need to do the swap and when ,y alli gets really bad or goes out, instead of spending $3,000 - $4,000 dollars on rebuilding it to where it was just spend a lil more (if I have to) to swap it out for a zf. I have always wanted one and I have thought about it but I'm pretty serious now about doing the whole thing.
