Today (0ct 21 ‘19 I drove mine to a muffler shop to get a 2nd muffler installed “in series” with what came with the kit. |
Of course both are “straight thru” so little or no back pressure. Still noisier than stock, but not by much, so I am pleased.
I do miss the fun of adding fluid to my DEF, And the excitement of having the DPF & related sensors....was so much more an adventure when that stuff was operational.
Not to worry - I love those “ pollution” controls. (although some say they actually cause a net gain in over-all environment damage). So out of my deepest affection for them, they now occupy an honored place in my store-room ...!

Every time I landed on their site (doing an image search), every item that I was interested in....small print "ships in 2 weeks".
I emailed 'em with the obvious question
Response was "blah blah special, blah blah sometimes,...."
Called the local Fleet Pride shop, asked if they were a Dealer for xxx, "yep".
Ordered 'em on Monday, had 'em in a week.

Didn’t realize mentioning removing my Def tank would get he whom we will not speak of all riled up and ranting again. Sorry guys. |
Anybody done any business with RealTruck.com? I ordered wheels Thursday and they’ve still not shipped as of right now.

|Coreyj01||07 2500hd My truck is throwing the P0401 code. I cleaned everything and the valve itself was clean. Earased the code. Was off for a few days and came back on. Still the same code. Do you think the valve is bad? How do you tell if the valve is bad? Does anyone know where the egr temperature sensor is located?|

Leaving urea in the DEF tank when your no longer using, would be about the same as not draining and flushing your black tank on your RV when your not going to be camping for a while. |
But considering the source, its understandable lacking commonsense and being dis-respectful it's very obvious his parents failed.

In my case, my DEF has been trouble free for the 10,000 miles or so I have had my truck - as I noted elsewhere, it was the DPF that damn near got me killed ( or at the very least, been rear ended by one of the "big-boys", which would probably have shoved our five ton Bayliner cabin cruiser right into the cab of my truck...…!)
