There was a good reason I didnít go with the expandable probe what it was.

DRC I don't know how old your unit is but mine looks nothing like that

Thatís because that one is a CTS bought in 2012 before the change to HDMI.
CTS2 with HDMI cable is on my truck.

Update, Edge fazed out the probe that I showed earlier, the replacement is 98620 $127.95 what rockn69 mentioned.
Time for me to delete that photo.
But I do have a new spare one if ever needed.

Starter kit only 98602 $38, probe only 98611 $108 which would cost more buying both compared to $127.95 @ Edge for the complete 98620 kit. Edge prices.

If you ever need to replace only the probe, it would cost a little less with only having to change out one part instead of 2.

Much better pricing than it was 2 years ago.
Iíd suggest to look for best prices, that one company mention was a little costly, but it was also Canadian prices, I donít have to deal with CA prices. If itís a good deal.

It'll stay like that for a couple miles usually then finally start reading correct. The other night was the first time i actually had to change the PID to something random then change it back to EGT sensor for it to read correctly. Thought about calling Edge, but after reading this thread seems like its common.
Honestly that sounds like a software issue not a hardware issue. Refreshing the monitored sensor should not change the behavior of the physical probe hardware, but it could reset some variables in the CTS code when you change pids. Id check it for an update and see if you can get a fresh install of the firmware on it. That may solve your issue.

For the CTS2 I will get a EGT probe for sure but should I also look at getting a boost probe? My truck is all deleted but I only run just mild tune 45hp Extra efi live I have all 5 tunes but I have never ran another tune just the 45hp one I donít plan on running higher tunes and I donít really tow anything So is the boost gauge on the CTS2 good enough or should I still look at doing a boost probe?

Why do you think the Boost from OBD port is not good enough? I would guess it is as accurate (or very close) as a manual gauge. You'll see how inaccurate you coolant temp gauge is in the dash compared to the CTS

The boost psi it pulls form is accurate, I have a separate boost gauge that I tapped for my pillar gauges and they read the exact same PSI. Now I have tried other Boost PSI's from the OBD2 port the were not accurate but my CTS2 is spot on with my separate gauge/sensor
