Question for users running snow kits

I got a used snow performance stage 3 water methanol kit from a guy here in town. For those folks out there with the snow controllers, does the screen turn on when power is applied to the red wire? Where does the controller get its ground reference? I have a red, black and white wire. The wiring diagram shows red is 12v+, black is an optional output to a 2nd stage solenoid, and white is output to the pump. Where do I hook up 12v -

Thanks for any help

Red goes to 12v, i have with a relay that gets activated with the ignition wire.

Black goes to ground

white goes to the pump and the main valve

Green to max boost... this is for my mpg max kit. Ill post a pic of the diagram when i get home
