Banks Double Shot...worth the $$$?

I am ready to add a little more power to the truck and have decided, after talking with one of the guys at ATP, to do a water/meth system. They recommended me the Banks Double shot system and I'd like to hear if anyone has any input on it. This will be my first time running water/meth and would like to make the investment right the first time.

Those of you who have ran meth before. what systems do you use? Do you have any complaints or problems? Why your system over Banks? Price?

My truck currently runs a 8.3 in the 1/8th and I would really like to see sub 8 second. Thank you for your time guys!

Figured I'd give a small update. I did not end up going with the Banks system. I got a brand new Snow Performance Power-Max kit for $500 and upgraded to a 3rd nozzle for free. I am running 2x 625ml/min power nozzles and a 375ml/min primary. I do have to say I am not blown away by the kit. It seemed to be missing some key components, off the top of my head was missing the cup and screws for the gauge. You know the plastic part that holds it in the gauge pod? Anyway, the results did blow me away.

Last weekend I was up in Bakersfield, California for an event called Truck Wars, an all truck show and racing event. On a 100 degree day the truck ran great. I was able to run on fuel only a 13.00 @ 101 mph. What really impressed me was the methanol kit. I cut almost .3 off the time and gained over 3 mph on my very first run, which it did 12.74 @ 104mph. Unfortunately I didn't not run too many times because I started throwing a P0087 code. Hopefully the race plug will fix that issue. Any way the truck was pretty consistent, running 12.7 back to back and then a 12.8 due to the Snow kit popping a fuse.

That's pretty impressive. What mixture were you running? How much did you go thru in the passes you made?

This is running Snow's Boost Juice which is basically 50/50. I used less than half a gallon total. EGT's also took a while to come up while running the water/meth. Not sure exactly how high. I hit 1500 which is where my gauge maxes out. I really need to get the EAS probe for my CTS2.

When is yours set to spray? As far as EGT, I would recommend just buying a higher gauge. The edge probes are horrible.

Injection starts at 8 psi, full injection at 15 psi, and power nozzles come on at 20 psi. Really need to see about getting another gauge then.

Where did you mount the tank? I wouldn't mind a kit for towing, to keep egt down when climbing hills, but I don't want the tank in the bed, nor do I want to give up my windshield washer tank. Call me picky, I know.
