Onan generators

Not a truck question but you guys with trailers and/or generators what type of oil do you use when you change it? Sure the manual calls for Onan oil but if you were going to use something else what would you use? Typically I like to use synthetic in gas engines

Never 1 issue.

Change it once a year.

So 10w/30 is the correct weight? The manual is crap when it comes to info. All it says is to use Onan oil.
