Done with fixing your own stuff? This is more financially feasible for you? I suppose the depreciation of the truck is all a write-off anyhow.

Know do you take mileage or expense on your taxes I traveled 5 states for 30 years self employed and I always took mileage because I would always keep my cars several years and very rarely bought new I normally bought one 1 to 2 years old with low miles. Just curious I now take depreciation and expenses because the truck is only getting about 10 to 12 thousand miles a year put on it in my landscaping business

More or less tired of the truck taking up my home time. I like being able to park the truck and not think about it until itís time to go again. Plus now I have 3 gooseneck trailers to maintain which gives me a project to deal with almost every weekend.

Financially itís almost the same owning long term vs trading every 90-100k.

Iv always taken actual expense. Iv never came to close to the ~56 cents a mile for standard write off.
This year may differ though.

I would definitely consider it. Nothing better than a saving money on a high mile Duramax especially when I know the history somewhat. I assume you buy at Laura and they option them the way I like. I have a 2015.5 CCSB Denali I bought new, with only 36K miles on it currently. I only bought new because it was a couple grand more to buy new at Laura than it was to buy used at the time. I would like to get a CC Dually next year to put a flatbed on for towing my work trailer each day. I only travel about 30-40 miles a day for my mowing route so high mileage evens out for me over time. My trucks are all black. No big deal either way, you buy what you want. If you happen to have a black one and I need one still, maybe it would work. Anyways, I always enjoy your updates on this thread.
