Kow's Hotshot Thread

Had some requests for pictures and fuel Econ numbers for my big hauls. So here it is. I'll do my best to keep adding to this thread with all the heavy hauling I do.

For starters. Here is my heaviest load yet and probably my heaviest load ever.
Gross combined weight 41,680.
Truck weight at ~8,600.
So 33,080 pounds pulled.

Averaged 6.8 on rolling Florida/Georgia road. Could only maintain 55 in 4th gear to keep temps down. Would never tow this weight again if I can help it.

I'll be picking up a 12k intermodal container to load on my 9k trailer today. I'll post pics soon and average fuel econ tomorrow at end of trip.

Could you relax at all on the drive? or was the whole trip intense?

I was sweating pretty good. Partially because it was 90 out. Partially because I was way over my weight ratings. And partly because I was afraid my trans was going to explode. Haha

Sorry guys. Missed out on the intermodal container. Someone screwed up and it was loaded full. No way I'm hauling that! Haha.
