Lbz air bags on l5p

I have the opportunity to get a set of air bags from a hunting buddy who no longer uses them. He had an 07 classic that he used to pull his 36' camper with. He told me I could have them. Only reason I'm interested is because of how I've read the overload springs react with a bit of weight in the bed.

Thanks in advance

In 2011 they changed the bag mounts due to change in frame design. I've visually looked at the two to compared. I would assume in 2014 they did additional changes also. So no.

2005 Silverado 2500, Crew Cab Short Bed. 122,000 miles
MODS: AFE intake, LBZ mouth piece, MBRP cat- less exhaust.

Ahhh I wondered if that would be the case. I wasn't sure what brand these are.

Well, poop. That's the kind of first hand info I was looking for. Was hoping to get something for cheap in one of these trucks for once lol.

Maybe you could call the manufacturer and see if they sell just the mounting kit specific to your truck and use the bag portion that your buddy has.

I just bought a airbag kit for my LBZ and the price was very reasonable.

I'd be concerned about the age of the bags too. It hardly makes sense to put much into older bags even if they are free. They do have a life span.

On the other hand, if they are free it wouldn't hurt to get them in hand and see what they look like on the truck. Maybe you can adapt them easily. The frames are quite different but that doesn't mean you can't do anything with them.

How far are you from DaJoker? I think he could make anything fit anything.

I had thought about the age of them, too.

I think getting them in hand and seeing what kind of condition they're in is a good start. Then maybe call the manufacturer and ask if they sell just the bracket or some sort of adapter.
