Thanks for the explanation with pics. Edge told me on the phone yesterday morning in no uncertain terms that TCC SLIP pid was simply not available for my particular truck. They pointed me to the transmission temp pid and the GEAR TCL pid. I have the GEAR TCL pid now up on my CTS, and I watched it yesterday as I drove some 40 miles on the highway.
Yesterday I also had a transmission shop test for codes on the transmission, and nothing showed. The only codes were insufficient EGR Flow detected (po401) and EGR feedback signal out of range (po404). I'm checking on these now.
Your pid choices look good for heavy towing. Unfortunately some of my pids are currently speedometer, fuel remaining, rpms, because the panel on the truck stopped working a long time ago. I'll probably get that fixed now that I'm paying more attention to my truck.
