Banks Bullet ?

I have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD Duramax with Allison Auto #1000;it with Banks Bullet installed when I purchased the truck used. Has 195K on it. The issue is that while towing my 5th wheel weighing in at 8k while pulling up steep grades with Bullet in Tow mode it bogs down to 1500 rpm in 5th gear does not downshift to 4th and drops into limp mode. Have to pull over and reset and then go again trying to keep it in 4th and make the grade. Came home today with Bullet in STK mode and it did perfect, like it is supposed to do. Anyone have any answer as to why? Thanks in advance. Tom.

One of two things most likely. Its either dropping rail pressure and causing it to limp or limping the trans because of too big of tune. Stock 5 speeds wont take much more than 40 to 60 hp over stock and not for very long.

Thanks silver gorilla for the reply. With the bullet it does not tell you the amount of increase in HP in sport over stock. It ran & pulled great in stock mode. I think I will disconnect it all together, if I can figure out how to do it without screwing something up.
