Best Allison bolt in and go tranny?

2008 LMM Crew Dually 2-wheel drive, 250k. Allison has reached the end of it's road. I tow infrequently, but when I do it's up to 18k lbs Arkansas to Colorado, Utah and back, mountains, altitude, in a hurry. I daily drive a lot in stop and go, don't hammer it at all. Currently stock set-up other than Fass150, PPE ported fuel rail fittings, B & M Transmission cooler and original cooler flipped, Transynd.
I need a fill with fluid, bolt in, plug in, and go transmission. Prefer not to spend over $4k but quality and durability are my chief concerns.
Looking at ATS, SDP, D-Max, O'Reilly's, but open to suggestions. Warranty is important, although I don't understand why, if a new Allison lasts 250k miles, no one offers more than a 3 year warranty and most offer only 1 year. That doesn't bolster my confidence in their work.
My time frame for purchase is 1 week.
What's has your personal experience shown you to be the best?

If I'm not mistaken ats has a 5 year 500k mile warranty. I have an 08 lmm with 315k on the clock and tow up to 20k pounds with no issue still. Is yours getting hot or slipping?

Slipping, howling. My last trip back from Utah I literally had to manually shift as it would slip badly and whine loudly if I let it go to the standard shift point. Never overheated.

Also, going up hills was the WORST! I'm the kinda guy that likes NO dropoff in speed regardless of what I'm towing. I was just crawling up hills, blinkers on, 20 mph. It was bad.

LS3 C5, when you say your LMM has a straight pipe, does that mean you removed everything all the way to the exhaust tip? How does that affect the recycle? I'd like to do that but also don't want an annoyingly loud truck.

I removed the factory exhaust and replaced it with a 5" straight pipe kit. The truck is tuned so it doesn't Regen etc. It's not obnoxiously loud. It being a crew cab long bed you can still hold a conversation with people in the back seat. I've been told my lml is louder and it's got a muffler.

Scott built one for me and shipped it to banks Oregon to my local trans shop. I couldn't be happier! I definitely recommend SDP.
