You are rearning the way of the tire, Danielsan. You ask good question. Help many others rearn tire way. Much sorcery in making tire. More sorcery in air the tire up and air the tire down. Many mystery of heavy truck tire.
BIG truck, many tires, haul many Toyota, hard compound, rots of air, roong rife across 'murica many times. Air rike spring in tire. Hold tire up. Toyota in rocks, air tire down for rock grippy. Air up for home or tire go boom.

Sorry, it just came out.

I was in motorcycle and atv sales for 12 years and the sales manager at a John Deere tractor dealership for eight.
Also did several years of SCCA car racing. So knowing tire pressures and what they did for lots of different vehicles was a daily part of life for over 20 years. It was always a discussion with new customers or new equipment. JD had many tire choices when ordering new equipment so I had to know the benefit of a tire and how to set it up for how it would be used. I have had several old customers tell me that I always knew way more specs about my equipment and the competition so they liked buying from me.

Knowing tires and how they behave can make a vehicle drive great or ride like crap. Knowledge is power in getting a tire to get the most out of your vehicle.

Here are some additional details on the DT version of the BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2...

The DT only applies to select heavy-duty LR-E fitments as outlined below. The change is in the rubber compounding to improve longevity and the DT version is back with a 50K mileage warranty as noted.

It's important to note that the DT version does NOT carry the 3PMSF designation, however, the M+S rating is maintained.

LT285/70R17 121R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
LT285/75R16 126R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
LT275/65R20 126S BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
LT275/70R18 125R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
LT285/65R20 127S BFG AT T/A KO2 DT

Happy to help!

Keep us posted as to how they work out for you. As you mentioned, not many reviews out there relating to the DT. I bet a lot of consumers aren't even aware there are two versions.

That store link you shared wants 344 a tire. Discount and discount price the DTs the Sam as the normal KO2s at 250 each.

You have to dig through all their bfg tires to find the DTs

Here are the 275/70/18s

I ran BFG KO's on 3 trucks over 18 yrs. Great traction. Terrible treadlife.

On my latest 2015, I looked at them again, (KO2) but no retailer would give me any treadwear warranty.

Towing chews up tires so I went with Toyo Open Country. They have a 50k mile treadwear warranty.

That sounds like the standard.

We are talking about the new DT version with the 50k warranty for high torque applications. I.e. diesels
