Injector failure? Emergency?

Hi all need opinions fast. 05 Duramax LLY. I was sitting at a light listening to music when I felt the whole truck shaking and an inconsistent idle. A lot of haze coming out of exhuast at the moment. And vane position bouncing around. I checked my balance rates and injector 3 was showing +10-+12. Eventually the idle calmed down and it stopped hazing and balance rate went to 5. Funny enough I had this same issue and balance rate with injector 8. I replaced it and now it hangs out at -7. I thought the issue was injector 8 but I guess not.
anyways. Does this sound like classic injector failure and needs to get replaced asap?
It’s just weird that this only happens at random.

Only a proper diagnosis will give you the correct answer. We have no idea how many miles your truck has or
what modifications it may have. It would not surprise me if new injectors are needed, however.

It certainly sounds to me that you need to replace one or more injectors. Keep in mind that an injector can fail intermittently, or better stated an injector can perform better or worse at times depending on the condition of the injectors (partially clogged, failing coil, etc). One other possibility to check first, is if there are any issues with the injector wiring connections which could also appear to be a failing injector(s) but instead is with the wiring harness and\or connections. As Ron mentioned above, knowing the mileage could be of value to know as more miles indicates a higher likelihood of having worn out injectors. In particular, how many miles are on the injectors? Although even new injectors can fail at anytime, especially "new" rebuilt injectors.
