Hey all.A friend of mine just bought a 2001 GMC 2500 with LB7.The check engine light was on so I used my Autocal to pull the following codes:

SRS U1041
PCM P0380
PCM U1000
PCM U1041

The previous owner had pUlled the ABS fuse because he claimed not to lIke ABS.The codes still come up with the fuse put back in.

The P0380 code seems glow plug or glow plug relay related. If one GP is bad will it throw this generic code rather than pinpoint which glow plug is defective?

Thanks for any help.-Poo.

Could be a plug but more likely another issue as well is the controller. You can test the plugs though, and they aren’t expensive.

Abs is more than likely one of the two front wheel bearings or sensors. I recommend replacing both hubs as they go out and can cause other issues. New hubs have the sensors in them so there is that. Could be the controller but hubs are more likely.

No sir, first set made to 205k, second set to 325k, on my third currently. I didn’t do all the mods to really help my longevity until I started having issues with my second set.
