My Duramax started to whine yesterday on my way home. I have a loss of power and the whine increases with my rpms. Any advice or help on what the problem could be? I am concerned its my turbo. I have a video showing the sound but I can't seem to attach it to the post.

Check your intercooler hose clamps. Sounds like a boost leak really

Even if your clamps are good and tight, it's worth checking the boots themselves for a leak. Get yourself a spray bottle with some soapy water and hit the boots with it while the truck is running and see what you can see.

Drivers side boost tube is bad about wearing a hole down close to the frame where it's hard to see on the LB7's.

Thanks guys I'm gonna give this a try see if I can find this leak. I search high and low yesterday. Couldn't find anything. Hopefully some soap water will reveal the culprit
