You say that you pumped it a few time until the primmer got hard? Did you open the bleeder screw before you started priming? If not you did not remove the trapped air.

Go out and open the bleeder screw and give it a couple pumps "until clear fuel is coming out the bleeder". then close the bleeder and try and fire the truck. If it fires, let it run for a few minutes and shut it off. Now go crack the bleeder and see if there is air back in the system.


Another thought: Is the fuel gauge around a 1/4tank "or lower", and the truck parked on any sort of incline?
