I have a buddy that just swapped from an 02 engine to an 05, now the trans is in limp mode. Any ideas?

If it is in "Limp", there will be fault codes-- post the codes. Cheap scanners will not read trans codes.

Did he use the 02 engine and trans harness,,,,,,,??

I'll get the codes. Used all of the 02 wiring to my knowledge

One difference in the trans-- the 05 has a "G" solenoid, and the 02 does not.

But if you use the wiring from the 02 the g solenoid shouldn't matter should it?
