I have a rattle coming from under the truck. The exhaust seems to move quite a bit, although I can't replicate the rattle and all the attachment points seem intact. Is there a diagram anywhere that shows the exhaust, so I can be sure something hasn't disappeared. The truck only has 6k miles on it.

Other suggestions appreciated.

you might have lost an exhaust hanger...have you replaced the exhaust with an aftermarket, if not crawl under your truck and make sure you have 4 hangers welded onto the piping, if not you lost one, when i got my exhaust done i lost 2 and they re-welded them on but welded the pipe to close to the frame so then that was vibrating at certain rpm's and when i shut the truck off, check it out...

i would push it with my foot and there isnt much play at all, maybe an inch of play when moved with my foot, you can feel its solid, if you push hard it shouldn t move more than a few inches, it shoudlnt be wiggling at all if you push on it, make sure all 4 hangers are attached at both ends, my friend thought he had 4 attached and he did, just in the front the weld broke off the frame and was attached only to the piping...shouldnt of falled off though if its stock??? is it something that just started? does it vibrate when you shut the truck off?

Thanks Jeff, it definitely moves quite a bit when pushed easily by my foot. I would not classify it as solid.

It seems to have steadily increased over the past few weeks, initially just when traveling over large bumps and more recently over almost any bump.

I haven't noticed it vibrating after the truck is shut off, I will check that as well.

yea sounds like somethings wrong their...when my exhaust was stock and i moved it, it barely moved, if your barely putting any effort into it and its moving alot then it sounds like something came loose or is about to come loose. Just bring it to a muffler shop and they will take one look at it and tell you, if a hanger came loose then they'll probably charge 10 bucks to weld one back on...let me know!
