I'm posting for a friend of mine who thinks that the information superhighway is an interstate road. :)

He has an '06 GMC Duramax Dually. He called me this morning, stuck on the road. At least he wasn't too far from home. He said that if even tries to turn the steering wheel a small amount, the brake pedal goes to the floor and the wheels lock up. (the pedal moves by itself)

I've never heard of such a failure. I told him to call Onstar and let them deal with it.

Has anyone heard of this happening before ??

P.S. It's no joke, I'm not making it up. I'm new on this board, but old news on the TDR,DTR,and Cummins Forum.

Welcome! My guess would be somthing to do with the power steering pump since both systems work off that. I would check the fluid level and make sure the belt is still on the truck. Either way, I would see a dealer visit in the near future since the truck should still be under warranty (hopefully).
