I have had my 2006 GMC going on 8 years with little or no problems. This past week while driving it I stopped to get food for the house, went back to my truck started it up drive about 25 yards and it just died. Cranking the engine was fine but it felt like it was getting no gas. I checked out the Fuel Filter and tried priming it and discovered a crack in the bleeder screw and there was gas around it. So I had it towed to my house. One problem led to another and the bleeder screw stripped and broke into the filter housing. I had another filter housing and tried intstalling that and one of the bolts broke off into that housing unit as well. Looking for a had getting both units drilled and bolt extractor applied to clear both units. Next problem was a total loss of electrical, no crank, no start no lights of any kind. I found a ground wire connected from my hood to the firewall was really frayed and just replaced it. With no power there are only several fuses that I can check the others are either bearly lighting up or not lighting at all? I read a bit about a MEGA 175a fuse that I should check but I cannot find where it is. I looked at and around the main battery on the drivers side and around the fuse box itself but cannot find it anywhere? I would like to find that fuse and be able to rule it out as either being my bigest problem or not but without knowing where it is I am stuck. My '06 has two batteries, and they both have just been fully charged short of that I do not know what to do, help. Thanks in advance.
