Truck has about 180,000 I've had it since about 160,000 I want to Change fluid and screw on filter on Alison , Should I flush transmission and put new filter or just drain and put new filter ? Any ideas ? Thanks

Double drain and refill no flushing.

Drain and drop the pan. Replace internal filter. Refill. Drive for 50-100 miles. Drain and refill. Don't use an automatical flushing machine or "hoot" method.

Would be an excellent time to install a Transgo JR. Will help with durability. If you are dropping the pan it will only take a little extra time.

I have a trans go jr kit but no clue how to install still to scared to mess with the tranny

TransGo Jr s a pretty install, just take your time. Get 5 gallons of Transynd, new internal and external filter and double drain it

if you are going to do the TransGo Jr kit, why not take the extra time and do a hoot flush. would this not negate the second drain and fill? and save you fluid in the long run at $40 a gallon
