I’ve got a 2008 Chevy c4500 with the duramax engine. Dual fuel tanks, it has dual tanks which I believe are 25gal and 15 gal. The rear tank isn’t transferring fuel. Fuel gauge works like normal. Went to fill up with fuel and the rear tank was still full and the front tank was under a 1/4. Bad transfer pump between the tanks or where would I start diagnosing the problem at? Thank you

I would imagine it’s a bad transfer pump. I think the pump in the rear tank moves fuel to the front tank to then be moved to the engine by the fuel pump in the front tank, if I remember correctly. I wouldn’t definitely check the wiring and pump in the rear tank

No I don’t really have anything to help you other than what I posted, and that’s just going off recollection. Get in touch with a dealer with your vin and they might be able to help you out with part numbers
