Would I see any gains with a new down pipe with factory exhaust just curious I know the stock one is restrictive

Not really.

My stock downpipe was cracked with just 8,000 miles on the truck. Black soot everywhere and cracked weld. Diamond eye fit well on mine. Plenty of clearance.

yes youll see a difference. the factory dp is super restrictive.
