my 2015 coolant light comes on after pulling a trailer and the pressure side goes empty overflow side fills up. Then when cools down the pressure side fills back up so can’t add coolant. It has trailer tow tune and doesn’t overheat. Is it the head gasket or is the tune set too high ? Been happening for few weeks now getting worried!! Any clues??

I had similar issues with my lml, though it was during regular driving. Overtime it started to overheat in an odd way and puke coolant out the reservoir. I recommend getting a exhaust gas coolant tester thingy, bou $20-30 from auto parts store or hf. It's a test tube u put some magic liquid in, place that over the coolant resivor while idling. If it turns a certain color u know that exhaust gasses are entering your coolant system and pushing the coolant from the driver's side to passenger. This could be egr or head gaskets. You can look at some of my other posts that talk about this. I did the hg job myself use grade c and are studs! It's not fun but doable.

Sounds like head gasket. Mine was doing the same never overheated or got hot. The coolant wouldn’t come back to the pressure side. But go out in the morning after driving it the day before. If you hear or see bubbling then there’s still pressure on the system. More then likely head gaskets.

I just got mine back after doing head gasket and few other things.
