anyone else having problems with range? I have to be 10 feet away from the garage door for it to work. My old remote was 4 times that range. Going to call dealer in the morning to address it just seeing if anyone has ran into this problem before.

Homelink was no help just ran through general trouble shooting problems.

Mine works from the street in front of my house. I'm probably 40' out when I push the button. Have not tried it further out than that.

When you say your old remote, have you used a HL transmitter before? They are much more susceptible to interference than your garage door opener.

I think that's just a BS answer the dealer gave you. Like 453030 said, mine works from a pretty good distance out. I can get it to open from my neighbors mail box just about every time, and we both have 3/4 acre lots, so we're not on top of each other, his house sits about 75-100 yards away from mine.

what brand garage door motor? the dealer changed out the homelink module which helped very very little with range.

also had the dealer bring another 2015 to the house and that truck worked from over 100ft away i dont understand lol

the range still sucks and i have had to keep the old garage door opener in the truck

I find it odd that home link is an option...This really should just be standard now on trucks and cars

yep my genie one has the problem as well, it works great with all liftmasters i get atleast 100ft with atleast 4 liftmasters that i tested it on On the genie i get a max of 10ft now it used to be a max of 2ft till they replaced the homelink module and it still sucks.

It's not your garage its the crap system GM has in these. Wife and I both have new GMC, her's being a Yukon Denali and we both have same range.
do you have a genie garage door motor?

2014 Ram before this 2015.5 Denali HD could open the door three houses down and now its end of the driveway for both me and my Wife's 2015 Yukon Denali, her's a little worse than mine. Total shit, and your attempt at suggesting that we go through bureaucratic channels that we already no exist to get this fixed just show how out of touch from realty you and you dinosaur company are. Gee thanks, I know how to drive to my dealership, or gee thanks I know how to contact GMC if my dealership sucks. Its not the point debbie.

Hello All, I have 2015 Tahoe LTZ and have been experiencing the same range issue as you all are. I have an Overhead garage door opener. Mine was so bad that I could be right against the garage door and it still would not open when pushing the button. I even added a longer wire to the attenna and it still wouldn't respond. My previous 2 vehicles (2008 Trailblazer and a 1998 Jimmy) had great range and I could open the door from a block away. Well this past week my garage door opener bit the dust and I had to purchase a new one. I bought a Chamberlain WD1000WF, with all the bells and whistles. After I installed everything, I reluctantly set up my home link, expecting the same results as my Overhead opener. I was shocked when on my first attempt the range was equal to my previous vehicles, about a block. Well today I gave it a real test and I hit the buttons from over 2 blocks away (straight line of site, no obstructions) and IT OPENED!!!! I was floored!!! Hopefully this will help some of you out there because I was absolutely frustrated having an awesome vehicle and can't park it in my garage! 😉

Hi All, I have a 2015 Tahoe LTZ and I am experiencing the same issues as you. I have a Overhead garage door opener and my range is absolutely pathetic. I can be right against the door and hit the button several times and nothing. My previous 2 other vehicles (2008 Trailblazer and a 1998 Jimmy) had great range, about a block. I tried all the tricks to extend the range and nothing worked... nothing! Well this past week, my opener bit the dust and I purchased a Chamberlain WD1000WF opener. After installing it, I reluctantly set up the homelink, being content with just using the one that came with it. Well after I set up, I tried it out and was surprised my range increased dramatically... more than my previous cars. Well today I gave it a real test and tried it from over 2 blocks away (straight line of site, no obstructions) and to my shock.... IT OPENED!!!! I hope this helps some of you out there as I was very frustrated with having an awesome vehicle that could not open a door unless I drove through it!!!! 😉
